DON’T MISS OUR
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2009!
JOIN US FOR A SPECIAL PRESENTATION
VAUGHN G.A. VASCONCELLOS
PRESIDENT
AKIMEKA, LLC
"AKIMEKA – Perserverance, Excellence"
Vaughn will be presented with the 2009 Ko’i Award from the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce. As an 8(a) Hawaiian business owner, Vaughn will share how the foundation of Hawaiian values is important to the success of Akimeka, LLC. Come learn about solutions to medical technology and Alaka‘ina Foundation, a not-for-profit Native Hawaiian organization (NHO), which focuses on building leadership programs for Native Hawaiian youth in rural areas and Hawaiian Homestead communities.
Also, hear how the name Akimeka is steeped in Hawaiian tradition and lore – Kamehameha III bequeaths the name “Akimkeaikekihiokala” to Charles Titcomb – this begins the foundation of Akimeka, LLC.
