Na Hōkū Hanohano award-winning artists, The Brothers Cazimero, Ron Jarrett, CEO of JTSI Inc., and Chaminade University Associate Provost and Community Advocate, Henry Gomes, have been selected as the honorees for the 2009 ŌŌ Awards by the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce. The prestigious award is presented to Native Hawaiians who have contributed to the betterment of Hawaiians, their communities and their professions.
The awards will be presented at a benefit dinner on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom. No-host *censored*tails and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m., and the awards ceremony, at 8 p.m. Proceeds from the event go to support scholarships and programs for Native Hawaiian youth, entrepreneurs and businesses.
